Troubleshooting

How To Increase Remote Control Range

  1. Verify antenna wire is hanging straight down. If not, correct this first to see if range improves.

  2. If wire is hanging straight down, using a pencil or something similar, wrap the antenna wire 10 or so times to create a coil. Give the coil a slight tug to spread the gaps a little between coils. For maximum range, make sure the coil hangs down below powerhead to see if range improves. Wire will look a little like a stretched slinky toy.

  3. If both the above fail, an inch of insulation can be removed from antenna wire leaving just the wire itself. Then attach exposed wire to metal operator support brackets to increase antenna surface area for additional range.
